The Versatile Wilderdog Doggie Bag

The Versatile Wilderdog Doggie Bag

Since customers have purchased our Wilderdog dog bag we have been shown their creative ways of using the bag. We thought you'd love to hear how this bag can help you - and it's not just for storing dog food in!

This bag helps reduce the need of single-use plastic bags for storing dog food in but it has also helped you in so many more ways.

We joined up with a couple of people who helped us put a blog together to show you how versatile the bag and mug can be.

How Can You Use Your Wilderdog Doggie Bag?

Emily's Tips and Tricks:

The Wilderdog Doggie bag is the perfect solution to carrying your fur friends dinner on all your adventures. Long gone are the days of having to use plastic sandwich bags - which if you have a big dog like myself, carrying 4 sandwich bags of kibble is far from ideal! Not only does the durable material and waterproof lining make it built for adventure but it also looks every bit the adventure bag, coming in two colours - khaki and maroon and with an aztec banding finish. But the best part of this bag is the versatile uses we’ve found for it. Here's my four favourite ways to use the Wilderdog Doggie bag:

1 - If it's good enough for my dogs food, it's good enough for mine!

As an avid outdoor adventurer with or without my dog, I soon realised that the bag was also perfect to pack my own food when I was out mountain biking. With its waterproof lining, it kept my sandwiches dry and kept my backpack free from sandwich spillage, not to mention the kibble cup doubles up as the perfect coffee cup! Disclaimer - I advise rinsing the bag first - Cheese sandwiches with a hint of Forthglade Salmon kibble isn’t ideal.

2 - The perfect dry bag for all your gadgets!

Living in the UK, means any adventure comes with the chance of rain and I soon began to use the bag to keep my camera and phone dry. Camera bags are great but many are not water proof and often they are cumbersome to lump around on a long walk. The waterproof lining of the Wilderdog bag and its roll down buckle fastening means the contents of the bag are secure from any rain creeping in and its space saving design, makes it easy to roll the bag up and carry should you be lucky enough to avoid any showers!

3- A wet bag for anything that's, well … wet!

We’ve all been there, a long walk in the rain playing fetch or perhaps your fur friend loves to roll in every puddle, either way if its anything like our walks, it all results in wet collars and muddy tennis balls! After your fur friend enjoyed their kibble, put all the wet collars, toys & tennis balls in the bag and keep all of your own things dry!

4 - Wear the bag with style

On top of all these uses, we’ve also found that once we’re out into the wild and enjoying some off lead fun, we clip the lead onto the bottom hoop of the bag and clip the release buckle of the bag through the handle of the lead.. and hey, presto - you have a cross body bag! Leaving your hands free, to of course, pay more attention to throwing the ball for your dog!

Poppy Agrees:

Without even knowing what Emily has been doing with her bag Poppy has also been using it as a camera bag. They've found the bag is so far 100% waterproof so they take the cameras in it all the time, especially if they go out on the river/rainy walks.
